The
Handel Company was officially incorporated in February, 20003. But don’t
let that fool you. While the company may be new, Mr. Handel’s experience
in the occupational eyewear field is not.
Mr. Handel, a member of the last
two ANSI Z87 committees, has been in the prescription safety eyewear business
for over 30 years. And the experience of the other members of his team
adds another 40 years to the company’s pedigree.
The entrepreneurial bug bit Mr.
Handel at the ripe old age of 57, having begun and run the Occupational
Eyewear Division of a large Midwest optical chain since 1973. “Better
late than never!” says he.
In the three months since they’ve
been in business, 40 companies, large and small alike, including such
notables as General Motors, Goodrich, Rockwell, and ICI Paints have signed
on to work with The Handel Company and savor its expertise. At this rate
their growth may be unparalleled.
