Here is a list of some of the programs we offer:

  • On-Site Programs
  • On-site programs are geared to companies that have never had a protective eyewear program, or want to update their present program.

We highly advocate educating all employees as to why safety glasses are safer than dress eyewear, why this benefit is being provided, and the mechanics of the particular program selected.

Vision screening is available to determine visual acuity. We guarantee that a minimum of 20% of a company’s employees either need a change of prescription or need a prescription for the first time. When the survey is completed, a list of employees upon whom we’re awaiting prescriptions will be sent to the company. Obviously, employees who don’t see as well as they should aren’t as safe or as accurate as they need to be.

Prescription eyewear needs to be precise and the individual needs of each employee taken into consideration. To this end, we counsel employees on frame selection and ergonomics in relation to their jobs.

Each pair of safety glasses is carefully manufactured in our laboratory, brought back to the site and adjusted to each individual.

  • Dispenser Program

This program may be used separately or in tandem with our on-site programs. The Handel Company has established a dispenser network to handle the prescription safety glasses needs of employees who can’t avail themselves of our on-site services, or those companies that have opted not to have an on-site program. Dispensers are located throughout the area for your employee’s convenience.

  • Maintenance Program

If there’s one thing you can bank on, it’s that your employees will seldom use there own time to maintain their safety glasses. The programs that fall into the least disrepair are the ones that allow periodic on-site visits to maintain their program.

The Handel Company will set up a complete portable optical store in a conference room or cafeteria for these visits.
